B.T. Fitzpatrick III has served as Town Manager of the Town of Boones Mill, Virginia, guiding the community through significant growth, revitalization, and strategic planning. Under his leadership, Boones Mill has embraced a vision that balances preserving its historic character with investments in infrastructure, economic development, public services, and community engagement. The Town's guiding philosophy, "Where Heritage Meets Progress," reflects many of the accomplishments achieved during his tenure.

Throughout the past decade, Fitzpatrick has worked closely with Town Council, staff, residents, businesses, regional partners, and state agencies to position Boones Mill for long-term success. During this period, the Town advanced major planning initiatives including the Downtown Revitalization Plan, the Boones Mill 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the Downtown Wayfinding Project, and the 359 Boones Mill Road Site Reuse Plan and Market Study. These efforts established a roadmap for economic growth, a stronger community identity, improved tourism opportunities, and future investment throughout the town.

Under Fitzpatrick's leadership, Boones Mill undertook important community development projects designed to improve quality of life and support sustainable growth. The Town advanced a new Town Hall Project, expanded recreational opportunities through amenities such as Maurice Turner Recreation Area and Carter Park, and continued preserving and promoting the Town's rich history through initiatives highlighting the Boones Mill Historic District and the historic railroad depot.

Recognizing the importance of resilience and infrastructure planning, Fitzpatrick helped lead efforts involving the Town's Flood Mitigation & Drainage Study and public education relating to flood insurance mapping and flood preparedness. These initiatives have supported informed decision-making and planning for future infrastructure improvements.

Economic development has been central to Fitzpatrick's administration. Through collaboration with local businesses, property owners, and economic development partners, the Town strengthened its business recruitment and retention efforts while promoting Boones Mill as "A GREAT place to GROW your Business." By creating dedicated economic development resources and supporting redevelopment initiatives, the Town has positioned the community for continued private-sector investment.

Fitzpatrick has also emphasized transparency, accessibility, and communication with residents. During his tenure, the Town expanded public access to information through online services, digital communications, public notices, planning resources, and community publications such as the Boones Mill Bulletin. These efforts have strengthened citizen engagement and improved access to local government services.
